Indigenous Services

Behavioural Health Foundation acknowledges that wholistic programming must include utilizing traditional practices and beliefs. While member participation is voluntary, Indigenous traditional programming is an integrated part of the BHF treatment programs, encouraging and supporting individuals and families.  This programming component is carried out through our Indigenous services program at the Northwinds lodge.  The Northwinds lodge is a vital part of outreach and after care.  Former program members are encouraged to keep in contact with staff at the Northwinds lodge and are welcome to come and participate in ceremonies and events held at the Northwinds lodge.  The Northwinds Lodge not only provides services for program members of the Addiction Treatment Services Program and Breezy Point Women’s Program of the Behavioural Health Foundation, but also any groups or individuals from the community wanting to participate.
